San Luis Obispo - Toyland
The Aerial Action Sports crew left the San Diego area today. We headed directly up the coast, picked up new addition- Al Brunelle and pointed the nose of the van due north. San Luis Obispo was our destination. BLR was attending a race and we were making a road trip out of it. It would be: Dave Hackett, me, Daniel Cuervo and Al Brunelle.
We drove into the rolling hills directly north east of Los Angeles. Farms were dotted on the hillsides and barbed-wire fences festooned old wooden horse fences. The wind cut across our path as we winded our way toward our destination. Coming over a rise, I saw the road ripple out into the distance… it was a long undulating asphalt ribbon. The guys instantly wanted me pull over. They suited up and I rolled down the road, stood on the roof of the van and shot as they hurtled past me and into the distance.
We rolled into San Luis Obispo and stopped into our hotel to check in. They told us that there was a street fair and farmers market going on downtown. There would be good food and music. We checked it out and then met the rest of the BLR crew at Toyland. More on that tomorrow. Skate- Ozzie
